DR. YASSER KHAN
Dr. Yasser Khan is the Medical Director at Carrot Eye Surgery Clinic. He is trained in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery (“occuloplastics”).
He completed his medical degree from McMaster University and went on to complete his residency in ophthamology at the University of Toronto. He completed his Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery fellowship from the University of Cincinnati ,Ohio. He is the Director of the Medical School Undergraduate Ophthalmology Program and the McMaster Oculoplastics Fellowship Program. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at McMaster University and Lecturer at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Khan is one of the only few surgeons who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, mid-face and surrounding structures, including the eye socket (orbit) and tear ducts. Having preformed over 10,000 eyelid, tear duct and orbital procedures, Dr. Khan is the true expert when people consider any kind of eyelid surgery. His experience allows him to truly nurture the eyes while rejuvenating the eyelids and face.
Dr. Khan is the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization GIVE – Global Initiative for Vision and Eye care.
He believes in giving back to the greater good by striving to preserve and restore eye sight to the medically
under-served populations around the world. Dr.Khan is also involved in many humanitarian projects. He has a strong commitment to providing eye care to those who cannot get access otherwise. He devotes a significant amount of his time every year to travel to Northern Ontario and remote communities around the world. He also teaches at many universities and is active in research.
Dr. Khan brings experience, compassion, energy and innovation to the care of his patients. He is constantly on
the move to bring only the most innovative and latest techniques in managing the cosmetic and reconstructive
conditions of his patients.
