Dr. Yasser Khan is the Medical Director at CARROT Eye Surgery Clinic. He is fellowship trained in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery (“oculoplastics”).

He completed his medical school from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA. He, then went on to complete a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto after which he completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery at the internationally renowned ophthalmic oncology and Oculo-plastics Surgery center at University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at McMaster University and the Director of the Medical School Undergraduate Ophthalmology Program and McMaster Oculoplastics Fellowship Program. He is also a Lecturer at the University of Toronto Department of Ophthalmologists in this academic capacity.

Dr. Khan is one of only few highly trained and specialized surgeons who specialize in cosmetic eyelid surgery, and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, mid-face and surrounding structures such as the eye socket (orbit) and tear ducts. Having already preformed over 10000 eyelids, tear duct and orbital procedures and being also an ophthalmologist, Dr. Khan is the true expert when people consider any kind of eyelid surgery. His experience allows him to truly nurture the eyes while rejuvenating the eyelids and face.

Dr. Khan is the founder, CEO of the non-profit, GIVE – Global Initiative for Vision and Eye care. He believes in giving back to the greater good by striving to preserve and restore eye sight to the medically underserved populations around the world.

Dr. Khan brings to his patients care experience, compassion, energy and innovation. He is constantly on the move to bring only the most innovative and latest techniques in managing cosmetic and reconstructive face and eyelid conditions. For this, he travels the world, extensively teaches at many universities and is active in research. Dr. Khan also has a strong commitment to Canada and Ontario. He devotes a significant amount of his time every year to travel to Northern Ontario and remote communities providing eye care to those who cannot get access otherwise.
